Don Triggs is currently employed as a principle Lean consultant for Rockwell Collins in Coralville, Iowa. A principle Lean consultant requires knowledge of and ability to apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and HPWS to develop solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
Mr. Triggs was previously a senior engineer in the EHS department of Whirlpool in Amana, Iowa for four years. He was also the Senior Ergonomist for the startup company Equipois Inc., specializing in a unique technology designed to minimize the ergonomic risk of using heavy tools. He was a senior consultant for Aon Risk Consultants for fourteen years, focusing on assisting Fortune 500 corporations with utilizing ergonomics to improve productivity and quality while reducing injuries. He has been a certified professional ergonomist since 2000, and has a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
