Agricultural Safety and Health
I am pursuing a PhD in Agricultural Safety and Health in the department of Occupational and Environmental Health. My research interests include potential health effects from occupational pesticide exposures among farmers and farmworkers comparing organic and nonorganic farming practices, and indirect exposures among the general population living nearby farming communities and those consuming organic and nonorganic diets.
I grew up at a village in southeast China. Prior to reentering school, I was involving in organic cooperative farming, marketing and sales, and inspection and certification. I hold bachelor’s degrees in international business and economics from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, and master’s degree in health informatics from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
