Occupational Injury Prevention
I am from Chicago, IL and received my BS in Biology from Chicago State University, as well an MPH concentrating on Community Health. During my training at Chicago State I was exposed to many branches of public health research, but took a particular interest in the effects of childhood traumas and adverse events in victims and witnesses of bullying. I have come to the University of Iowa to obtain my PhD with which I intend to stay in academia and train others in prevention methods while continuing research and developing programs in bullying and gang violence prevention. In my free time I enjoy reading, watching movies, and playing basketball.
